River Valley Community College seeks a qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach “Clinical Practicum Site Visits” for our Fall 2025 semester. River Valley Community College can only hire faculty who reside in the six (6) New England states.

Allied Health

Medical Laboratory Technician – Hematology

This class runs on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 – 11:50 am. Lecture is on Tuesday mornings and is delivered online via Zoom. Lab meets on Thursday mornings from 9:00 to 11:50am.

Minimum qualifications

Education: Master’s degree from a recognized college or university with major study in Education, Medical Lab Technologies. Possession of a master’s degree in education shall require twelve (12) graduate credits in biological science or a subject area closely related to the teaching assignment.

Experience: Two (2) to Six (6) years of teaching experience in Medical or Laboratory Science, or two (2) to six (6) years of business or industry experience as a Medical or Laboratory Technologist or a closely related health sciences field.

Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in Education, Medical Laboratory Science.

Experience:

Must have six years of experience in the Medical Laboratory Science field either teaching or in the industry. Prior teaching experience required.

Preferred qualifications

Prefer recent clinical hematology experience.

Special Requirements/Licensure:

MLT/MLS certification

Adjunct Compensation: Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
