Facilities Services Assistant II (Third Shift)

This is a full time, third shift position with the starting hourly rate of $16.06- $18.37, plus a $0.90 shift differential.

SCOPE OF WORK: Performs a broad range of general and routine custodial, grounds, and/or building maintenance duties, which may require the operation of maintenance equipment and driving. This position reports to the third shift Facilities Services Supervisor at Nashua Community College.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency. drivers' license required.

Experience: One (1)year of experience in custodial, grounds, and/or building maintenance, including the operation of cleaning, grounds, or maintenance equipment. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

License/Certification: Possession of a valid driver’s license.

RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of the operation and care of electric sweepers, mop wringers, brushes and other household cleaning equipment. Familiarity with the materials, equipment and methods commonly employed in office cleaning operations. Ability to understand and carry out simple instructions. Ability to make minor repairs to cleaning equipment. Physical strength to withstand manual labor of strenuous work conditions. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.
