ApprenticeshipNH Apprentice Resource Navigator – Northern Hub - (WD/CE Community Liaison II)

Hourly Rate Range - $26.29 - $30.61

Scope of Work: The Apprentice Resource Navigator coordinates the recruitment, enrollment, and case management services for apprentices and pre-apprentices enrolled in one or more ApprenticeshipNH grants within the ApprenticeshipNH’s Northern Hub and coordinates outreach efforts to businesses, community organizations, and state entities to promote and expand Registered Apprenticeship Programs. This position reports to the State Apprenticeship Expansion Formula Grant Manager.

Accountabilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in liberal arts, public or business administration, social sciences, education, marketing, or public relations.

Experience: Three years' professional or paraprofessional experience within a human services, community-based, or educational organization, with responsibility for case management, career counseling, community/business outreach, public relations, training, or program/project management.

OR

Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in liberal arts, public or business administration, social sciences, education, marketing, or public relations.

Experience: One year professional or paraprofessional experience within a human services, community-based, or educational organization, with responsibility for case management, career counseling, community/business outreach, public relations, training, or program/project management.

License/Certification: Valid driver's license, or access to transportation for statewide travel.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in career development/coaching services. Experience working with underrepresented populations (low-income individuals, veterans, women, youth, individuals with disabilities, and refugees/ English as a Second Language) and/or community-based organizations providing career coaching services. Knowledge of state and federal training resources such as WIOA, WorkNowNH, WorkInvestNH, TANF, and/or Vocational Rehabilitation.

Special Considerations: This position is eligible for remote work but requires in-person meetings and in-state travel with a focus on the Northern region of New Hampshire.

Knowledge of research and planning methods and techniques. Ability to write technical information. Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to understand and interpret the functional interrelationship of policy, regulations and procedures and to evaluate the impact on programs. Ability to detect and define problem areas and causes and to create and develop effective solutions, including the exercise of sound judgment in evaluating situations, planning action, making decisions and setting priorities. Ability to work independently to develop new or alternative approaches to meet changing and variable conditions. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.
