This is a part-time (20 hours per week), evening position which operates Monday through Thursday from 2pm to 6pm and includes a shift differential.

SCOPE OF WORK: Provides various office and program support duties for the Student Services Department associated with departmental operations and student success. This position shall report to the Vice President of Student and Community Affairs at NCC.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent credential. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Five years of experience in a responsible clerical position with experience in an office setting.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in an academic institution preferred.

RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of office record keeping and reporting. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts and identify existing or potential problems. Ability to contribute to the development of sound operational procedures. Ability to exercise sound judgment in appraising situations and making routine decisions. Ability to follow specific instructions in gathering facts, data, or resources in organizing required information. Ability to meet with students and the public and explain programs sponsored by the department or agency in which the position is located. Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.
