SCOPE OF WORK: This role assists the Admissions Office in recruiting and enrolling students by participating in outreach activities and providing support throughout the admissions and enrollment processes. The position utilizes various technologies, including TargetX, Banner, and other systems. Additionally, this role supports the Welcome Center and participates in a variety of recruiting and college-wide events. The position will report to the Director of Admissions at MCC.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provides support to the Admissions Office by responding to inquiries from prospective and current students via phone, email, chat, and in-person, providing excellent customer service and accurate information to students and visitors.
- Assists with outreach efforts aimed at various groups including non-traditional students, and underrepresented populations. Maintains relationships with high school and local community groups who send students to MCC.
- Ability to effectively guide students through the admissions and enrollment process, including basic information regarding registration, financial aid, and general MCC policies and practices.
- Assists with Admissions operations, including maintaining data accuracy using various platforms such as Target X, Banner, Navigate and Axiom as needed.
- Attends recruitments events in the Greater Manchester community as scheduled.
- Supports Admissions Office inclusion in the Welcome Center, utilizing Navigate to better support onboarding students.
- Assists with college events such as Open Houses, Information Sessions and Advising and Registration sessions.
- Responds to technology and integrates into work assignments.
- Maintains current knowledge databases required to assist students, including TargetX, BANNER, SIS Navigate and Canvas.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences for professional development and participate in college and system-wide committees.
- Complies with all system, college, state and federal rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in education, business administration, or other related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in customer service, student services, admissions, or a related field, with responsibility for providing and maintaining accurate records and information. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification: Valid driver’s license or access to transportation for statewide travel.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Use of Banner, TargetX, and/or Navigate software.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires extensive in-state travel with the ability to work days, evenings and weekends.

Knowledge of office record keeping and reporting. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts and identify existing or potential problems. Ability to follow specific instructions in gathering facts, data or resources in organizing required information. Ability to meet with prospective students and explain programs sponsored by the college or department. Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college.
