Talent Pool for Adjunct Faculty – Department of Natural Sciences

Position Type: Part-time, adjunct
Compensation: $800 - $950 per credit, based on adjunct faculty rank (determined by education and experience)
Location: NHTI Concord, NH

Overview:

The Department of Natural Sciences at NHTI is building a pool of qualified adjunct faculty candidates across various disciplines to fulfill future instructional needs. Joining this pool offers an opportunity to teach courses that provide students with essential knowledge in areas such as biological sciences, environmental sciences, chemistry, geology, health sciences, and medical coding, with an emphasis on practical applications and real-world relevance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field or at least 24 graduate credits in the field of instruction.
  • Experience: Prior teaching experience and familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS) preferred.
  • Residency: Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Course Delivery: Provide instruction using curricula aligned with department and program standards.
  • Student Engagement: Foster active learning through discussions, assignments, and assessments.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Professional Development: Stay current in your field and adhere to institutional policies and guidelines.
