Course: NUR 142L Nursing II

Dates: 1/21/26-5/7/26

Location: LRCC Nursing Lab/Clinical Setting

Lab: 1/21/26-1/29/26 Wednesday/Thursday 0800-1400

Clinical: 2/4/26-5/7/26 Wednesday/Thursday 0630-1500

Description: Meds-Surg: Nursing II focuses on care of adult patients in the medical surgical setting. Emphasis is placed on health assessment, medication administration, and the care of patients with alterations in selected body systems. Clinical experiences provide the student an opportunity to apply the concepts introduced in Nursing I. The course expands the student’s ability to utilize effective clinical judgement skills and prepares the student to care for more complex patients in Nursing III.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: One of the following:

A Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN)

A Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and currently enrolled in an MSN program.

A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing

Clinical Practice: Two years of nursing care experience in an acute Medical-Surgical unit.
Licensure/Certifications: Must possess a current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire. Must meet the continuing education requirements by the Board of Nursing to maintain continuing licensure.

Salary: The clinical compensation rate is $47.95-$59.45 per contact hour. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
