NCC Adjunct Faculty-Aviation
Nashua Community College is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required. Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction. We have a need for instructors for the Fall 2024 semeseter course(s) in our Aviation Technology Department: Freshmen Class: Weight and Balance (1 day (3 hours) a week, 3-4 weeks) Inspection Concepts and Techniques ( 1 day a week (4 hours) 5 weeks) Fluid Lines (1 Day a week (4 Hours), 3-4 weeks) Seniors: Hydraulics/Pneumatic Power Systems and Landing Gear (1 Day a week (7-8 hours), 16 weeks- Full Term) COM/Nav (1 Day a week (6-7 hours), 16 weeks- full term) Aircraft Systems and Cabin Environmental Control (1 day a week (6-7 hours), 16 weeks- Full Term) Minimum Qualifications: Education: Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or technical school with major study aviation technology, education, business administration, engineering or related field. Experience: Six (6) years of teaching experience in the aviation technology field or six (6) years of business or industry experience directly related to the field of aviation technology. License/Certification: Valid drivers license; F.A.A. Airframe and Powerplant Preferred Qualifications/Certifications: Inspection Authorization; Designated Mechanic Examiner; Mechanic Private Pilot Single Engine Land The salary range for this position is $700-$950 per contact hour. The rate will be determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
