Course: Licensed Nursing Assistant
Location: Classroom/Lab setting/Clinical setting and online
Dates: January 21, 2025-March 21, 2025
Classroom instruction: Twenty Four hours of course content is covered online using the college LMS, Canvas for theory which includes; PowerPoint lectures, skill videos, students reading chapters, completing workbook, and assessments.
Clinical instruction: Thirty hours of instruction in the hospital setting. Clinical is held over 2 weekends from 0700 AM-3:00 PM each day. The Board of Nursing requires documentation that students complete 60 hours of clinical and their classroom/lab hours so make-up dates may need to be scheduled to meet this requirement.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The NH Board of Nursing approved Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) program consists of 46 hours of theory/lab, and 60 hours of clinical for a total of 106 hours of coursework. The theory portion is delivered online through the college’s learning management system, (LMS) Canvas and in the classroom lab. The clinical is arranged at a local health care facility. After successfully completing the LNA program, all students must register for the state competency written and clinical exam and complete a criminal background check/fingerprinting as part of the process to obtain their LNA license with the State of New Hampshire.
Minimum requirement:
Candidate must possess an unencumbered License Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Hampshire, have completed an NH Board of Nursing approved Train the Trainer Program and have 2 years’ experience with the elderly or chronically ill of any age with 1 year experience in the provision of long-term care (LTC) facility services;
OR
Candidate may have an unencumbered Registered Nurse License in NH or multi-state RN license from another compact state, Baccalaureate educational preparation and meet the requirements of 2 years experience with the elderly or chronically ill of any age with 1 year experience in the provision of long-term care (LTC) facility services;
Licensure/Certifications: Possesses a current New Hampshire unencumbered registered nurse license or a multi-state RN license from another compact state or unencumbered NH Licensed Practical Nurse.

Salary: The compensation rate is $800-950 per contact hour for classroom instruction and $47.95-$59.45 per hour for clinical instruction. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
