Student Success Coach
River Valley Community College – Claremont/Lebanon campus - Fulltime Student Success Coach Application Process: CCSNH has established employer status within the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations, eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state. SCOPE OF WORK: Provides technical and administrative support within an academic student support center with responsibility for assisting with services and providing information to students (e.g, information on course pre-requisites, schedules, and options; placement testing procedures and results; accommodations and supports available to students; etc.). Collects, maintains and provides information, data, calendars, standard reports, etc. May provide specialized support to select student populations (ELL, international). May schedule and proctor tests. May oversee Peer Advisors. May assist with the scheduling and coordination of tutors. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs and will work collaboratively with the Lebanon Academic Center Supervisor. ACCOUNTABILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in counseling, education, liberal arts, general studies, or a related field. Experience: Three (3) years of experience in academic/career advising, admissions, teaching, occupational training, and/or student support within an educational setting. OR Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in counseling, education, liberal arts, general studies, or a related field. Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience academic/career advising, admissions, teaching, occupational training, and/or student support within an educational setting. License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License or access to transportation required. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in teaching, academic advising, or counseling within an educational setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Zoom, Word Press, Adobe, and email marketing software. RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of college policies, rules, regulations, procedures, organization, and function. Knowledge of principles of public administration. Strong organizational skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience in a higher education environment. Ability to properly compose a variety of correspondence with only general instructions. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts to identify existing or potential problems. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Ability to work independently and exercise proper judgment. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority. |
