Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required.

Semester: Summer Semester

Adjunct Faculty: Veterinary Technology

Responsibilities will include preparing for and teaching an in-person 2 hour and 40-minute class each week, for the 11week summer semester, on the subject of small animal behavior.

Course: VETN226G Small Animal Behavior

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction.

The compensation rate is $825-$975 per contact hour [or $47.95 - $59.45 [per clinical rate per hour if applicable]. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.

The minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:

Education: DVM/VMD, or AS degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA-CVTEA accredited program.

Experience: Candidate must have an interest in animal behavior and experience in the behavior field, which can include clinical practice and/or participation in animal training. Whether a candidate has sufficient experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Veterinary Technology program director.

Licensure:

The instructor must be a licensed veterinarian or a credentialed veterinary technician who has graduated from an AVMA-CVTEA accredited veterinary technology program.
